CANOE TRIP 2013

Due to working in Pelican Narrows, we are able to offer (unfrozen water permitting), the Soul Edge Canoe Trip in Northern Saskatchewan as our debrief expedition! We were last able to offer this, due to unfrozen waters, in our Autumn (fall) 2007 course hence the picture you see here! Our leaders have personal experience with canoe trips, as well as Sebastian Gray, (team leader 2013 and Soul Edge 2010 alumni) obtaining qualifications for Kayak trip leading in Scotland with ROCK UK (http://rockuk.org/). We are excited to paddle into the Saskatchewan wilderness! This will make for an EPIC multiday paddle and debrief!

Check us out on facebook- and on twitter @souledge44 !!1 We are now accepting applicants for 2013! - beet the rush!- We only accept up to 9 applicants a year, and have only ever made one exception...so don't miss out if you are up for the challenge!

2012 Internship

So 2012, we ran our first internship internship!!! After having over 50 people on the course,5 guys teams, 2 girls only teams & one 1 autumn team, we finally offered an internship with Soul Edge! Chelsea Cannon from Canada, and Jack Follet were given the honor of taking up this role, living in the Soul Edge house! Dylan Herrington from California also joined in for the last month!-- and yep, he's coming back! YES! It was 2 months of teaching, serving the lord, deep calling to deep, mission, and ranching!
Jack was an absolute LEGEND! IF you want to chat with Jack to ask about some of his experiences first hand, drop us a line and we will hook u up! Southhampton Uni this autumn!- we have lots of SE alumni here, so its pretty exciting in the CU- check out TXT a toastie! The CU president is our Ollie Jeffs :) Chelsea is now off to IHOP in Kansas City this coming July! :) Dylan has a strong call for youth ministry on him- so we are excited to Cheer him on in this! This is a bit of what happened in our mission in Pelican Narrows from the Herbert Herald (local News paper) 'Crossroad's Church went on the annual Pelican Narrow's mission trip during the Easter break (10th-14th april). We had 24 people, including 1 baby (Caleb Erb), one brit (Soul Edge intern Jack Follet) and 1 Californian (Dylan Herrington)... We saw God move in such amazing ways, and it was great to be a part of what is happening up there- 9 hrs north. We went and ministered on the streets, and visited with the kids in the newly opened youth centre. Many of the Hebert Youth had been there before and jumped at the chance of going back. Chelsea Cannon was also excited to get to go back to pelican, after having the experience of a life time, and also getting baptized there last year with the Soul Edge team. Brandon Fast also felt that last year had really prepared him for the trip this year. Rockside builders fixed up the arena (youth Centre), with the help of many of the kids- Mike Zerebeski, Ricki Doyle, Miranda Houghian, and many others. It was incredible to see how self-sacrifical everyone was...the two littlest girls- Jesse Rose Erb and Sarah Cannon even did some of the hardest jobs- even cleaning the centre bathrooms on the first day! Harv and Bev Schulz and Rich Meyers also took time off work and were essential for making the trip work. Bev and Polly were the mom's on the team and were incredible. Harv worked incredibly hard with Josh & Richard on getting the Zamboni door looking and working like a door again so that the youth centre/arena was secure - along with patching up the cinder block wall for much of the trip (with help). A massive thank you goes out to everyone who made the trip possible- from the MCC donating baby gear for the baby shower we put on for young moms, to all the families who baked muffins, cookies, and prayed hard for the Kingdom to come! There were a number of salvations, and a whole load of love, fun and games! The Kids club we put on the saturday morning was a little crazy- by amazing all in the same breath! Huge dancing pink and green northern lights were the icing on the cake, as we were pouring our hearts out in Pelican Narrows.'

Africa 2011

Ohh yeh, and sorry for not giving any africa updates from last year!!!.....fact is, the guys were so busy and having too much fun that it was incredibly hard to nail one of them down to do things like--- "writing"! haha.... though you can find they 'did' have time to video a bunch! here is a link to one of the guys who made a montage of EPIC footage.... though for the sake of privacy, we could not use much footage of ministry - I think you get the deal!
